“I might be a bit of a cultural misanthrope, but it only means the things I do/eat and the places I shop, are REALLY tantalising. While I'm busy trying not to engage I like to do it at a place that encourages you to disengage. This is handy. ‘The Den’ in LA is a truly a modern oasis, offering sound baths, workshops and  breath work.  They will also teach you to meditate if you’ve never tried before. I’m booked for a sound bath in April. Digital detoxing is all the rage, but if you want something that offers all that and more, this is your jam. The best place to avoid everything is the beach. Go to Point Dume in Malibu walk down the steps at Big Dume if you're lucky enough to get one of the few parking spots at the public look-out on Sea-Lane drive. Look out for whales and dolphins and walk for a mile and a half to Paradise Cove. Im afraid I cannot recommend the restaurant you will find there on the beach, but you WILL find a beer and a cocktail that will do the trick after your walk.”

INSTALLATION: I am Bateman This month sees the launch of 'I AM BATEMAN: The Relations', an installation that blends the boundaries of art, fashion and interiors. It exhibits the world of an imaginary couple who are colourful, eccentric and welcoming individuals. The Batemans travel the world and are patrons of the arts. Their one-of-a-kind collection tells us the story of who they are, where they have been and where they are going. The space is co-created by a female collective of creatives; artist Selena Beaudry, vintage fashion dealer Clemmie Myers and interior designer Natalie Tredgett. The trio felt the need to create a new retail experience with a unique immersive offering where visitors can escape into a momentary world and feel part of the story. The space is intimate and luxurious, with everything on display available to purchase. The creatives carefully curated the displays by championing emerging, independent and more established designers and artists whom together combine to create the Bateman aesthetic. The exhibition will be at 2 Blenheim Crescent in Notting Hill from April 26th - May 11th and Mrs Batemans Boudoir on Portobello Road around the corner April 29th - May 11th. Instagram
