PR with a Purpose
Enlightened self-interest has been vital to Halpern’s success from the get-go. Jenny Halpern Prince dedicates a huge amount of time to philanthropic pursuits and has always championed the relationship between business and its social context. Three years ago, she co-founded the youth charity Access, to improve social mobility in deprived areas by providing work experience placements in over 200 leading businesses. A project which Halpern actively supports - having provided over 19 placements since launch. A co-founder of the Gynaecological Cancer Fund which raises money for the Royal Marsden, Jenny believes that social influence can be the catalyst for change. In 2015 and with the support of the Halpern team, the business created the highly visible Lady Garden Campaign in collaboration with Topshop which raised over £250k for the charity. Also on the board of Women’s Aid for six years, Jenny created the concept of the Avon Empowering Women Awards which raised more than £250k for the charity.
